About Our Childcare
My name is Teisha Cross and I have grown up living in Pemberton. As a mother of one, I soon realized how difficult it was to secure childcare before returning back to work so I educated myself and started my own childcare. I have completed an introduction course on Early Childhood Education through Stratford Career Institute to better understand my role as a caregiver for your family. This program defines good learning experiences and the developmental needs of young children; using this knowledge and becoming aware of developmental needs I have been able to create a pre school curriculum to suit all abilities that encourages children to be creative and enjoy learning.
Mount Currie View Family childcare is a licensed childcare facility. This means we have annual inspections to ensure the health and safety of the children are being met, we practice drills for earthquakes and fire, we have up to date first aid, records of all children, criminal record checks and insurance. As a licensed provider we are also able to participate in the government childcare operating funding program which enables us the funds to ensure the learning resources in our home are kept up to date and interesting for all learning levels. Mount Currie View Childcare also participates in the Childcare Fee Reduction Initiative which is funding offered to licenced facilities to reduce monthly childcare fees. While parents do not have to apply for the Childcare Reduction Initiative they do have the opportunity to apply for The Affordable Childcare Benefit which is a monthly payment to help families with the cost of childcare; I've pasted the link below.

Our home offers a great day care setting and has a massive variety of toys and things to do. Inside children will find an abundance of puzzles, books, art supplies, musical instruments, games, duplo, LEGO, dress up clothes, role play sets, toy cars and trucks, a train set, push/pull along toys, early learning computers and more. Outside we have a fenced in yard surrounded with colourful gardens. We also have a splash pool and sprinkler, covered gravel box, puppet theatre, ride on toys, push toys, playhouse, roller coaster, sensory gardens, mud pie kitchen, balance beams, water tables, sand tables, pump track/run track, yoga mats for everyone and more to ensure the kids quality playtime outside.
